 6. The Peacock

The male peacock is a beautiful bird. It's neck is covered with lovely blue feathers. Its body is green and blue. It is majestic to look at. Its glory is its long tail.  It can open its tail like a great fan. The bird is very proud in nature. So we say the proverb " as proud as a peacock. " The peahen is a plain brown bird. She has no majestic tail like her male partner.

Word Notes 

Male - পুরুষ জাতীয়। peacock - ময়ূর। feathers - পালক। majestic - রাজকীয়। proverb - প্রবাদ। peahen - ময়ূরী।
